Product overview

The Vehicle Control Unit runs your motor, battery, and charger as one system. Set up over Bluetooth in the Formosa EV app, with a Builder mode and a Driver mode. Monitor the car and read faults over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cellular LTE.

The Formosa EV app

Set up locally over Bluetooth. Monitor the car and read faults over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cellular LTE. Builder and Driver modes; adjustable lift-off regen.

No CAN programming

Formosa EV’s software already talks to the motor, inverter, battery, and charger. No DBC files and no code to write.

Level 2 AC charging

The VCU and app manage charging with a standard J1772 or NACS plug. No extra charge controller is needed.

Connectivity and updates

Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular LTE, and GPS. Firmware updates arrive over the air. The Formosa EV app is live on iOS and Android.

Vehicle inputs and outputs

12 digital or PWM inputs, 10 analog inputs and 16 outputs: eight high-side and eight low-side, half-bridge and PWM capable.

Twisted CAN cable pairs

No CAN programming

Your motor, battery, and charger already talk to it.
